2025 Flying Tigers Youth Leadership Dialogue Held in Nanning Chinese and American Youths Chanted in Unison "Long Live the China-U.S. Friendship"

From December 25 to 27, Jeffrey Greene, Chairman of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, led a 60-plus-member delegation of students from the "Flying Tigers Friendship Schools" in several states of the U.S. on a visit and exchange trip to Guangxi. During the visit, the 2025 Flying Tigers Youth Leadership Dialogue, themed "Youth Dialogue for a Shared Future", was held at Nanning Vocational and Technical University.

The dialogue kicked off with a dance named Jasmine Flowerand a song named Tribute to the Flying Tigers. At the event, Chinese and American youths raised their voices and chanted in unison "Long Live the China-U.S. Friendship" and "Flying Tigers". Friendly emotions were shared among the teachers and students, creating a harmonious atmosphere.

In his speech, Jeffrey Greene reviewed the history of the Flying Tigers, noting that this story of extraordinary friendship and mutual sacrifice is at its core a human story of love and loyalty. It has become not just a bridge connecting China and the United States, but also an enduring testament to the power of solidarity. Gathering in Nanning this time, we not only honor the martyrs who fought bravely and sacrificed their lives, but also keep in mind the eternal truth they left us: when countries transcend national boundaries, cherish shared humanity, and move forward hand in hand with hope, respect and firm commitment, we can build peace and embrace a future where lasting peace prevails for all.

Ba Cuicui, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, stated that the Association is ready to work with all parties to further pool resources, pass the friendship from the Flying Tigers veterans to the young generations of the two countries, and make it a brilliant light illuminating the friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. We will jointly carry forward the traditional China-U.S. friendship, strengthen mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation, and make unremitting efforts to safeguard world peace, promote common development, and build a community with a shared future for mankind.

At the dialogue, the Guangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation signed a memorandum of understanding on friendly exchanges and cooperation. Nanning Vocational and Technical University and the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation also signed a memorandum for establishing Flying Tigers Friendship Schools. Young representatives from China and the United States delivered speeches and exchanged views on carrying forward the Flying Tigers spirit and promoting people-to-people friendship between the two countries. American student Michael Wilson said that this trip allowed him to gain a deep understanding of the remarkable feats of the Flying Tigers in helping the Chinese people's resistance against Japanese aggression. He realized that this memory of China and the United States fighting side by side during World War II is not only an important part of military history, but also of great significance for enhancing the friendly relations between the two countries.

In retrospect, we were fearless because of justice; looking at the present, we understand each other because of what we have seen; looking into the future, and we are full of hope because of the youths. Guangxi will fully implement the important consensuses reached by the heads of state of China and the United States, work hand in hand with all parties, we will tell the stories of the Flying Tigers story, carry forward the Flying Tigers friendship, inherit the Flying Tigers spirit, contribute to deepening the traditional friendship between the Chinese and American peoples, and serve the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
